Our landscapeCalabria
The land:
OLIVES
HILLS
Minutes from the centre of Catanzaro, in the quiet of Barone — here the landscape reaches you through smell first.
Rosemary in flower, clean air, a green scent that stays on you and changes your pace at once. The city is very close — you can see it, spread across its hill just beyond the olive groves — but on this side of the path none of its noise arrives. La Baronella is well connected to the motorways and to the region's main airports: Lamezia Terme (SUF), Crotone (CRV) and Reggio Calabria (REG).

At the table:
TASTE
EARTH
OIL
Calabria at the table starts with oil, and here the oil starts just outside the door: Carolea, Ottobratica and Roggianella are the cultivars that name our suites before they name our oil. The restaurant works with zero-kilometre produce and selected local suppliers, to a strict seasonality.

Our kitchen speaks the dialect of Calabria with the accent of fine dining: open for dinner to guests and by reservation.
Architecture:
ARCHES
LIGHT
STONE
«An architecture designed to leave room for the light.»
Contemporary and Mediterranean at once, restrained and stately. A sequence of arches, a passage whose job is to change your pace: this is how La Baronella receives its guests. The terracotta facade plays with a light that, in this part of the world, seems to get more clear-sky days than you would expect.

Identity:
ROOTS
SYMBOLS
«Our identity is a window that frames the essence of the place.»
In our mark, an olive branch bears witness to a deep bond with the Calabrian land and with the nature that surrounds the estate. The waves of water promise regeneration, wellbeing and serenity. And the sun could not be missing — it carries the warmth, the energy and the authenticity that make every stay and every event unforgettable.

The window.
A full round-arched opening, its reveal plastered with a pale surround: the shape that the La Baronella mark frames.

The olive branch.
